Nothing says Valentine’s Day better than a romantic movie! A movie about a girl and a boy only separated by a glass wall. Will they, won’t they? Join us for a rather unusual cinematic celebration of romance, fine dining, entomology and fashion.

The TasteAlong menu will be delightfully and deliciously disturbing, in a very typical Conjurers Kitchen style! This is one not to be missed and is going to be the most important to date for me. I hate generated Ai, or Ai ‘art’ as some call it. I hate it for many reasons, include the damage it does to people and the environment. So you can imagine how furious I was to find out that someone I hired, used Ai on my behalf (and my money!) and didn’t even tell me. I was mortified. Well, Ai censored my cake. The damn thing took the chocolate conjoined fetal skull and turned it in to a Halloween-looking skull. This was my friend’s wedding cake and the skull was there was a reason. I was furious. The whole thing looks atrocious. After being vaguely insulted and belittled, I fired them. Of course I am out a metric fuck ton of money. Y’all will have make do with my handmade Ai free website and promotional material, it isn’t great but allows me the keep my integrity. And doesn’t advertise that show 🤣🤣🤣 I just wanted some help to get my business back on track to how it was before my world collapsed. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ ya gotta laugh… Oddly enough, I’m getting dream jobs for next year since I made the mistake of hiring them, so maybe the universe and my husband’s stardust particles are looking out for me. I meant to sell some goodies at the Nightmare Before Christmas TasteAlong on Monday, but as we were leaving, I realized my big scooter (my joy and independence) had been stolen for the second time, so my head wasn’t in a place to deal with selling, as well as hosting. Sadly, the scooter that was stolen this time had been funded by my incredible friends, because I loved it so and was heartbroken when it got stolen. Now that one is gone too. Anyway, no more scooters for me. And now I have a load of chocolate and some wafer cards. If anyone wants anything, let me know and you can do a curbside pickup from Toluca Lake. I feel somewhat restored after Monday’s success and being footloose and fancy free again (in the business sense). Im looking forward to @hyaena_gallery horror market on 11/22, where my theme will be, of course, “let them eat cake”. And my “Eating Evil“ (edible prints of paintings by serial killers on delicate delicious cookies), for the morbidly curious. The Jurassic TasteAlong was a roaaaarrrring success! Thank you to everyone involved, I’m so grateful and proud how well we pulled this off! Any hurdles were jumped and much fun was had by all. Including me! This was how it was in the past, in England and especially at the @electricbham. Like home. I’m also grateful for everyone who helped on the night, regardless of having bought a ticket, being a Jurassic jeep driver or a celebrity. My group of door people was rather unique! My cakes usually look fairly gross, yet they’re really tasty. It meant the absolute world to me that my judges genuinely loved my cake flavor the most (sorry Regina and Paul! Love you 🤣😻). They said wonderful things, especially the lovely @chelsanity! I was overjoyed. But it wasn’t interesting enough to be shown, so I still don’t have that lovely footage about flavor 🤦🏻‍♀️. So I’ll just do it myself! I’m vending at @wunderkammerstore on Saturday, bringing delicious cake and will have taste volunteers give me a testimonial on video, to show all y’all who commented on the lack of tasting on the whole show! The Black Phone 2 promotional desserts I created for @trailerparkgroup, @blackphonemovie and @blumhousehorror. I sculpted a mini mask from clay, made molds, then little dark chocolates, popped them in a box and created a sugar ice square to give the appearance of being frozen in ice (without melting the chocolate). I just stumbled across some of the more ‘specific’ publications I have been featured in… German meat industry magazine, funeral industry magazine (I made their award gala cakes), and last but not least: Real Crime. That was double surreal because it was part of a cannibal couple special. Which I s why I ended up creating my (Annabel) lecture, “Pleased to Eat You”, for the Hannibal Fan Fest in Toronto. A cake was also on the cover of a French medical publication, I’ll look for that asap. 9 years ago I gifted my darling friend of 30+ years, Porl McHale, a surprise cake for his 50th. I have a ‘to cake’ inspiration folder because whenever possible, I make my friends crazy cakes. Every person in the picture had at least one epic gift cake. Including me! This piece is based on the incredible anatomical raven mask by @immortalmasks and its eyes lit up. My friend posted pics of it cut up the other day, which I had forgotten about. It. It cut so beautifully and was served on Frozen paper plates for added surrealness. #friendsforever #cakedecorating #horrorcake #anatomy

This is what happens if gold dusted chocolate sunflowers in bags are left in the sun for a day or two. By accident of course, but still… Aren’t they gorgeous?! Not delicious of course, all that separated fat and powder. I may experiment with achieving these effects without compromising the chocolate and taste, I am so into this look. 🤣 #chocolate #sunnyday

The Harold and Maude Movie TasteAlong on Friday was a glorious, uplifting and delicious success. I’d organized a bunch of surprises I hoped would make this one extra special and I think it worked. Friends helped and I ended up with a banjo player (wedding cake client!), a brief behind the scenes of Harold and Maude in the 70’s chat by @bendybonnie and @the_gary_morgan, a eulogy for Maude, and a priest (@robzabrecky) who gave guests unholy communion with edible tickets. Oh and there was some food too… 🤣 White chocolate soap filled with a tart raspberry vegan mousse and splattered with fresh raspberry blood (turns out an unused coffin is perfect for the get ready before serving!), plant based plant pot cakes with soil, stars and a little tree. And odorifics, and fireworks. I don’t usually post these details as I prefer it to be a surprise for my audience, but I’m so thrilled with how it went, I’m sharing. More coming soon. It was a wild ride, that’s the only way to put it! Of course I did it for my dearly deceased husband, I know he would have wanted me to do this. Last night was wonderful! Experiencing @wardruna under the stars was quite something. It seemed extra special. I couldn’t help feeling that I’ve come full circle - I met them in LA years ago, without Thom, as he was working at the Castle. When they were in London, I took Thom, and we brought them chocolates and magic. They utterly loved him. They were in town when Thom was sick, so we couldn’t go, but they sent us T-shirts! Last night, I was alone again. But we still spoke about Thom; John even pulled his ‘amazed by magic’ face for me ❤️. Thom was very much there in spirit. It was quite a therapeutic night. I believe @einar_selvik thought of him a little during their death song 😻. Magic.

Magicians supporting magicians. @amazingguymagic and I were grateful for their support in time of tragedy and beyond, so it’s nice to give back. And to show my ghost husband I’m still magic. Now it feels like this. 🤯🤮 I did quit smoking for that reason. For our future. Now it wouldn’t matter if I took it up again, he’s gone. It seems so apropos to post this today.
